June 22 – July 2, 2011

This program offers you a spir­i­tu­al and cultur­al adven­ture for mind, body and soul. Each day after a relaxed buffet break­fast we will visit a differ­ent ancient Inkan site in the Sacred Valley. Time is set aside for your person­al explo­ration and medi­ta­tion inside each sacred site. On all outings to Inkan sites, you will trav­el with a guide passion­ate about her work, who will spark your excite­ment as you come into contact with the tradi­tions and spir­i­tu­al­i­ty of each ancient site.

Wednesday, June 22 – Depart from home coun­try for Lima with a follow­ing morn­ing connec­tion to Cusco.

photo of KopThursday, June 23 - Arrive in Cusco, rest for a few hours to accli­mate to the 11,000 ft. alti­tude, eat lunch in the main plaza. 3 p.m. guid­ed walk through the cobble­stone streets of Cusco to the Korikancha Temple, the holi­est site during Inkan times, and through the San Blas Artists’ district, a quaint area filled with arti­san and art shops. Early night to rest, or stop in at one of the live­ly restau­rants or coffee shops

Friday, June 24 - Visit ancient sites at Tampumachay, Saksaywaman and Kenko. Afternoon trans­fer to the Sacred Valley and the Willka T'ika Garden Guest House.

photo of gardens at Willka Tika At Willka T'ika you will enjoy the peace and tran­quil­i­ty of Nature surround­ed by an abun­dance of Andean flow­ers and medi­c­i­nal herbs. All meals at Willka T'ika are vege­tar­i­an, with large amounts of our organ­ic food grown in the sacred ener­gy of our gardens. Make sure that you set time aside to explore the seven heal­ing gardens filled with medi­c­i­nal herbs and flow­ers and an array of unique Andean birds in the gardens.

Saturday, June 25 - Shamanic Breathwork™ sessions at Willka T’ika. Optional Andean offer­ing cere­mo­ny to Pachamama with an Inkan ritu­al­ist in the evening.

Sunday, June 26 — Drive through the Sacred Valley to the spec­tac­u­lar ruins of P'isaq. Hike the trail to the Inkan Temple of the Sun, a door­way to the upper Andean world of the Condor, messen­ger of the Gods. Optional medi­ta­tion and option­al hike down the moun­tain to the color­ful market of P'isaq. This market offers a wonder­ful oppor­tu­ni­ty to buy woven goods, jewel­ry, color­ful wall hang­ings and hand-paint­ed bead­work. Our guide will recom­mend some deli­cious options for an inex­pen­sive al fres­co lunch, where you can watch the live­ly activ­i­ties of the market.

Monday, June 27 - Optional visit to an isolat­ed Mountain Community and the ancient water temples and amaz­ing stone temples of the Ollantaytambo Ruins.

Tuesday, June 28 - Early train to Aguas Calientes, the live­ly village situ­at­ed below the near­by Machu Picchu Ruins. After a brief check-in to your hotel over­look­ing the river, ascend by bus to the sunlit terraces of the histor­i­cal Inkan center of spir­i­tu­al and polit­i­cal power. Explore the Machu Picchu ruins with guide. Dinner at a restau­rant.

Wednesday, June 29 - Free day to return to Machu Picchu. Late after­noon train to Ollantaytampu and trans­fer to Willka T'ika for dinner. Return to Machu Picchu ruins via bus at 5:30 a.m. to climb Waynapicchu, Young Mountain, for a spec­tac­u­lar view of Machu Picchu at sunrise. Or, you may choose to wander through the color­ful town of Aguas Calientes, visit the outdoor ther­mal baths, the shaman's shop and gener­al market for gifts, clothes and crys­tals.

Thursday, June 30 - Day of inte­gra­tion at Willka T’ika.

Friday, July 1 - Group trans­fer to Cusco. Fly to Lima, connect to flight home.

Saturday, July 2 - Arrive in home city.

Price: US $2,750.00.

Does not include flights, some meals, person­al spend­ing money, tips, etc.
